Forest Walk
Original Music by Ethan Hurt & Jackie Scully, Images Your’s Truly
Walking with you reminds me how much I love it here, silent, no radio or music, just the sea, the breezes, creaking bow, rustling leaves, raven wings, eagle cry, and from time to time the sea-lion's barking mad symphony, soon to be followed by ebb and flow of frog song, leading to whale blow season… nature speaks to me, even the view and the trees.
They speak to me and breathe for us all. The trees, burnt, chopped, more beautiful still standing, reaching high they tickle the sky connecting our green earth to the unfathomable universal forces beyond. All of us, we’re still here, it’s 2023 and we’re still here. The tree canopy protects the forest floor, so much life, inter-connected roots feed heal and grow, trading magic through mycelium networks below the surface. Soft under foot, trees become the soil for more life, shedding and after death. Seasonal changes to colours textures and sounds. Always soothing intoxicating therapy.
We all belong. Thank you.
Born near the ocean, Devon’s south coast, a country lad jetting the world before my first birthday, schooled in dairy country, back to the coast, then big city career, opportunities, stress and disease the push back to nature to mountain top then coastal living in the forest. At first an Arbutus Obsession then noticing all the other trees and life under the lush canopy. These trees our lungs, capturing universal forces, space tentacles rooted in mother earth, giver of all life, miracles surround us, un-noticed until we stop, breathe it in, finding peace and gratitude and amazing views.

Only one planet gives life that we know of, no planet B, or plan B. Treat her right, for we borrow her from future generations.
