Mooos was made for people who share these values

Food is an expression of love.

Having lived through the war, my mum and grandma both made meals from scratch, growing as much as they could in the garden, wasting nothing, using the dripping and trimmings, buying local and in season. As kids, my brother and I helped prepare these feasts, picking fruit from the tree, spinach and carrots from the ground. 

We lived in Devon and Somerset, home to England’s West Country dairy industry, with Devonshire clotted cream their famous treat. Milk here was delivered to the doorstep, the cream rising to the top of the glass bottles. Our friends were farmers, so we worked in the fields for them pulling beats, plucking chickens and ducks, and, of course, milking cows. Laneways would be filled with cows going to or returning from milking. Dairy was all around us and a regular treat for dessert or fresh fruit. Even Cheddar, the home of the cheese, was only a few miles away. 

In school I took cooking, winning a graduation prize that sent me to hotel school where the kitchen experience was on a whole new scale. It turned out working 10 hours in a hot, high-pressure commercial kitchen was not my calling, but I learned a lot about French cuisine and their traditions of tarts and desserts. Day trips on the ferry to France introduced me to a decadent array of culinary delights that my friends, family and I would try to replicate at home. Many years later, all these experiences would provide the inspiration for Mooos, my oh-so-creamy and oh-so-boozy version of the classic French mousse.

Today, Mooos is handmade in Lund, BC.

Produced in small batches to preserve the integrity of the dessert’s flavour and creamy textures. Our mission is to bring happiness and pleasure too many.

Mooos is made with real Baileys, so it contains alcohol. Our single-serving 2oz portions contain 1/2 (0.5) oz of Baileys, so just enough for that wonderful flavour to emerge but not too much to get you silly or drunk! That being said, Mooos is not recommended if you're pregnant or for young children - it’s a strictly adult treat ;)

At the moment, Mooos servings come in 2oz plastic containers. We acknowledge plastic is not ideal however, they can be recycled so please dispose responsibly. We are currently working on paper and glass alternatives for our packaging with the same commitment to product integrity. If you have suggestions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Mooos is ideally served from the fridge, maybe 5 minutes on the counter or table if you can wait that long…

We recommend you store Mooos in the freezer, 20 minutes on the counter at room temperature works well, or take it out the night before into the fridge.

Some folks like Mooos frozen, yet it was not intended this way, the flavour profile is designed to be enjoyed slightly chilled.

Mooos contains real Baileys, 1/2oz per 2oz serving (approx. 0.09oz/2.3g, 4.25% alcohol each), this adult treat is not recommended for children or pregnant mothers.
